10 Months Today

10 months old today and we celebrated by cleaning up lots of poopy pants! Thank goodness for Grandaddy who was able to come over (yet again!) and keep the Mister for the day. We think it's another stomach bug, but do you think it could be an allergy? We're not sure, and have not recently introduced any new foods, but we hope it goes away soon. Mr. Man has still been happy despite major explosions of poppy 5-7 times a day and a super raw butt because of it. (Not to be too graphic, but want to make sure we document all the ups and downs- especially for our yet-to-be-parents friends.)
Diaper baby as we're tired of going through
6 outfits a day

Tyler-head has had several 10 month accomplishments in addition to his constant poopy pants.

1. Loves sticking out tongue- especially when concentrating, or feeling silly....

2. Pulls up on most anything and still loves looking at trees
3. We think he's working on teeth #9 and 10
4. Has started (pretty much) sleeping through the night!!!! YAY!!! Only took 10 months-- which is my fault more than anything.

5. Tyler and Connor are starting to notice each other! Tyler will attempt to pet Connor (aka grab his hair) and Connor is quickly learning that Tyler drops lots of Cheerios and Puffs.

6. Tyler has discovered that Mommy is the bestest person in the world....

9 Month Update

Mom, you do realize I'm a boy, right?
Boys aren't supposed to be posing in daffodils.

Tyler had his 9 month checkup today. Because he's been sick all winter and we go to the doctor's office so frequently, I think they were surprised to see us there for a "well child" visit. He weighed 20.7 lbs (50%) and I forgot what his actual head circumference was, but he was still in the 90% for that. They measured his height 3 times and came up with 27 inches, 28 inches, and 31 inches. We settled on 28 (not sure why) which puts him in the 25th percentile. We were reviewing his developmental checklist and his doctor said, 'I wouldn't be too worried that he's slightly behind with his communication skills.' And I was like, 'SAY WHAAAT?!?!? You're talking to a Speech Language Pathologist here and I'm not a bit concerned about his communication abilities.' I didn't tell her that I have minimal experience with kids and even less experience with language development. Oh well.

Anyway, I'm doing pretty good on my Spring Break checklist- got some homework done, started my veggie garden, ran (well, walked-ran) 6 miles. Looking forward to a fun weekend of Carolina basketball???

Here's the latest Mr. Man pics:

Something's on my head... got to get it off...
Almost there... whew, got it!

Look what I've learned

Spring Break!

Finally, it's Spring Break! I will still have to go to work next week, but I won't have class which is wonderful! The best thing about Spring Break is that it means I have less than 2 months less of this semester! Woo hoo! We have been eagerly awaiting Spring here and are looking forward to some warmer weather. Not sure when that will be happening as earlier this week we had yet another snow fall. That's like 5 this winter! Did we move out of North Carolina without me realizing it?
Spring Break projects include, but are not limited to:
  • start my veggie garden (have bought the seeds, peat pots, and some extra soil to get my beds ready)
  • do homework
  • get Tyler on a better nap schedule
  • go to the grocery store
  • do more homework
  • run 6 miles by Tuesday
Sorry for the boring post, now here's a boring video for you!
