Pullen Park Again!

If you live in the Triangle area and do not take advantage of Pullen Park, then you're crazy!  It re-opened this Spring after major renovations and we've been several times since.  Tyler was most looking forward to riding the boats this time.  He had a blast.

After the boat ride, we all took a family trip on the train.  Marcus and Tyler had a good time pretending to blow the train's whistle.  Sam just enjoyed watching everyone.

Chilling in the shade while Tyler played on the playground

Last time we visited Pullen Park, Tyler absolutely refused to go on the Merry go Round, and this time was no different.  So he stood by with Grandaddy and watched as Daddy, Grandmama, and Uncle Marcus rode.

You're crazy if you think I'm getting on that

Sam decided to stay behind as well and chew on The Hulk

Tyler did request that Daddy ride the Tiger.
There they go!  Don't they look like they're having fun?!?
Tyler seemed to think so, so after he saw that everyone made it through the ride safely and had a good time, he decided it was time for him to give it a try....

His animal of choice was the Lion

A little anxious at first, and never really smiled,
but a good time had nonetheless

Super Heroes

We've started playing a new game before bedtime-  Super Heroes!  Tyler is finally wearing the super hero capes we made for his birthday.  His favorite thing to do is to "get the bad guys" that reside in our closet, the bathroom, and his and Sam's rooms.  Sometimes Daddy pretends to be the bad guy, but mostly we just pretend to "get" a make believe bad guy and do lots of kicks and punches.  Other times he hides out in his "bat pod" under Sam's crib.  I'm thinking I need to sign him up for kick boxing lessons or a martial arts something or another.

What a mischievous look!

Here we are getting the "bad guy" that was hiding in this Avengers bag

Sam even enjoys getting into the action
