Happy Father's Day

We had a wonderful Father's Day.  Not only did we get to spend some quality time with the family, but the weather was absolutely perfect which added to everyone's enjoyment.  Leslie and Andrew both got to sleep in because the boys had spent the night over with Grandmama and Grandaddy in Raleigh.  Meanwhile, at Grandmama and Grandaddy's house the boys were both up by 5:00 am-    eeeeeekkkk!  So Sorry Grandmama and Grandaddy!  Tyler and Sam were just too excited to be there that they couldn't possibly waste anymore time sleeping.  We really appreciate Grandmama and Grandaddy for taking such good care of the boys.  Leslie and Andrew finally made it over to Raleigh later that morning.  We were all able to grab brunch, then go play at the church playground.  Here's some highlights:

We missed seeing Poppa on Father's Day, but we hope to spend some time with him soon.  Happy Father's Day everyone!  We're off to watch the last of the US Open...  a guy from Andrew's high school may actually win!

Bounce House Birthday

Two weeks ago we had Tyler's 3rd birthday party at home in the back yard.  We had a good group, probably 12 friends and their parents.  We had several activities planned including face painting and making your own Super Hero Power cape.  I spent the whole week before sewing all these power capes for the kids and most were scared to wear them.  Only the moms decorated them.  Oh well.  At least it was something to keep the parents busy.

The bubble machine was the biggest hit of the afternoon. 

The kids all took turns placing one hand on the bubble machine and watching all the bubbles come out.
