Sam is almost 8 weeks old. Here's a quick update on what Sam's first few weeks of life have been like:
1. He makes the craziest raptor-like noises
2. He eats 4 oz. or so at every feeding and eats every 2-3 hours (he's eaten this much per feeding since the beginning)
3. Names we're calling him: Sam, Sam-Sam, Mister Man 2, Raptor Boy, our Civil War baby (we think his name sounds like a Confederate soldier), Sammy, Sam-a-lam-a-ding-dong
4. He's lost his ruddy complexion, but has gained super baby acne
5. 3 times this week he has slept from 10 pm - 5 or 6 am (!!!!!)
6. He started making fun baby sounds and cooing around 6 weeks
7. He started smiling (intentionally, not just related to gas) last week
8. He has 'monster poops' every 2-3 days
9. He has become super snuggly with Mommy- going back to sleep with me in the mornings after the other boys leave for work and school
10. He's a chunker- we'll see how much he weighs when we go to his doctor appointment next week, but it's got to be around 14 pounds or so...
