Here We Go Again

This is a pretty poor quality video, but I think you'll get the gist.  Sam is enjoying this.  I promise.

Back in the Saddle Again

OK, I'll attempt to start keeping the blog more up-to-date than I have been.  Can't make any promises though, we can barely stay afloat keeping up with these two crazy boys.  Because I can't seem to manage any in-depth, thoughtful, or poetic blog entries, I shall continue with my meager attempts to update the grandparents on pictures of the boys.....  catchy and witty remarks are a just a bonus.

Tyler?  Are you under there?
Just wondering because your Ramses hat looks like it's about to take over the world.

This pillow is a bit lumpy

Monkey see, monkey do

Staring contest between uncle and nephew

Daddy and Tyler have been attending Lowes and Home Depot
"build and grow" workshops.
Tyler (read Daddy) has made some amazing things.

Fruit Pack boys.
We should take out stock in these things.
I think we blow through at least 20 a week.
At almost 2 bucks a pop, that's quite an expense!

Let me loose- I gotsa play!

Lovey dovey happy boys

Picture from Tyler's class performance of Jingle Bells
He was in the front row, chose not to sing, and picked his nose at least half the time.

At the grocery store with Daddy.
Watch out world, here come the Johnson boys!

Last month, I resumed my job doing swallow studies at different nursing homes.
Boo-yah!  Back in the saddle again!

Christmas Explosion!

Seasons Greetings from a finally well Johnson Family!  We all seem to be doing better now, but it's taken from Thanksgiving through New Years to get us all feeling better.  Unfortunately, now Grandaddy isn't feeling well, so we're keeping him in our thoughts and prayers.

We went to Georgia for a few days before Christmas, then headed back to Raleigh on Christmas Day.  I had to work the day after Christmas (and the rest of the week), but it wasn't horrible.  The boys were out of school the through the 2nd.  Thankfully Uncle Marcus and Grandaddy were able to come stay with them for a few days while Andrew and I had to go back to work.

WARNING:  The following is a whole lot of pictures detailing the Christmas Explosion.  Beware. you're likely to get real bored, real fast if you're not a grandparent.

Let's keep track of all the Avengers stuff Tyler racks up......

No Sam, let me show you how to open this...

This kid loves clothes
Of course, who wouldn't love this awesome Carolina shirt

Sam was really into picking ornaments off the tree this year.
I know, how did he even get close with all those presents?!?!?

Don't worry, I mixed in some good gifts with all the "crappers"

Captain America shoes!
(Again, he really loves clothes)
That's 1 for the Avengers tally

Sam says, "What did you get Nana??"

Keeping Sam busy and out of trouble was tough work this year

Sam really liked the beads from the tree.
Nice pearl necklace Sam.

Santa visited!
Too many Avengers toys here to count...

Hulk smaaaaash!
That's like number 6...

Sam, I'm going to commandeer this Cozy Coupe

Woo Hoo!  Go faster Mommy!

Look at these gorgeous pictures Michael painted for me and mom.  Beautiful.

Too cool
That's a new Spiderman shirt-  #7

Mommy, quit trying to make me wear this crazy Santa hat!

Sam tired out pretty quickly after all the excitement.
Can I take my nap here?

Can you help me out here Uncle Marcus?

I love this Christmas stuff

The year of the Avengers gifts!

Attempted family photo with our hats Grandmama made us.
Tyler seems to think this is how one holds a shield
Captain America shield- 9.....

The Beast.
Sam's new nickname.
All he wants to do is eat.

What's wrong here?
Each one seems to like the other one's toy better

We've had one decently nice weather day since Christmas.
Off to the playground with Iron Man and Snowman Sam.

Merry Christmas Everyone!
Happy New Year too!

On the Upswing Hopefully

One of the kids (at least) has been sick since Thanksgiving.  It's mostly been Sam, but Tyler was out with the stomach flu for a day or two.  Needless to say, Mommy and Daddy have had quite the time trying to keep up with everything.  I think we've finally got Sam well.  Poor baby.  He hit 1 year old and hasn't felt well since.  Surely we're on the upswing now and things will be looking up.

Although not walking quite yet, here's Sam walking with his walker.  (Video taken several weeks ago when he was feeling good.)

Susan mailed me the softest UNC socks ever.
So comfy for lounging around the house at night!
Look who promptly stole them from me.

Tyler and Daddy climbing a neighbor's tree.
Magnolias make the best climbing trees.

Baby Sam snoozing in Mommy and Daddy's bed at home from school (one of many days) with a fever.

Feeling much better after some medicine though and lots of rest!

Tyler's big adventure to the dentist.
He was such a great patient.
He looks a bit terrified here, but he really wasn't.

At home playing "Superman" with Daddy.
Naked.
For some reason, he's insisted on eating dinner naked lately.
I don't care what you do, just eat your chicken.
