Tyler Turns Two

It's a super exciting time at the Johnson house at the end of May. Not only did Leslie and Andrew celebrate 5 years of marriage, but more exciting Tyler turned 2. We had a low-key celebration at home with family and friends. Tyler had a fabulous time, and we think all the other guests did too (at least we hope). Here are the highlights...

For the big celebration we bought a bouncy house. Yes, bought. So any of you close by are welcome to borrow it whenever- it's great to get out some extra toddler energy.

Tyler was very excited about presents this year. It was remarkable to see his face light up at each gift. Our friends and family are too kind.

2 Year old Updates:

Calls himself "Ty-Ty"
Thinks he can ride Connor (dog), Daddy, Mommy, the couch, etc like a horse and yells out "Neigh!!!"
Loves anything to do with trucks (firetrucks, dump trucks, tow trucks), construction vehicles (mo-mo (motor grader), diggers, bulldozers)
Favorite color is blue
Always wants to be outside- especially swinging at the playground
Stalks the neighborhood for people mowing their grass just to sit across the street and watch them
Remains a picky eater
Is starting to sing along to various songs and pretend to play them on the piano
Loves to dance to The Best of the Wiggles CD- fast forwards through the songs he doesn't like and says, "Noooooo..."
Still does not sleep well at night
Has a variety of hats he likes to wear (frog hat, alligator hat, navy fishing hat, fireman's helmet, wizard's hat, etc...)
Says, "Me too, me too" to whatever you say you are going to do
His ezcema was getting worse again, but we found a good pediatric dermatologist and it's looking much better now, even his hands which have been crusty for months!
Has a box of trucks (30+) he plays with everyday and a box of balls (10+) as well. The house is constantly trashed with toys and hazardous for any passers-by
Loves motorcycles and thinks Daddy can and should drive all motorcycles he sees
